While uncertainty surrounds the future of foreign assistance, millions of children are enduring the horrors of war, the crushing weight of poverty and the unbearable ache of hunger.

U.S. funded humanitarian assistance has given millions of children the opportunity to grow up healthy, well-nourished, protected and educated. In countries where we’ve prioritized basic health care systems for mothers and kids, child deaths have dropped 55% since 2000.

This is just one way in which our country does good around the world. Ensuring children everywhere have the promise of a brighter future sets the stage for a more prosperous and stable tomorrow.  

With famine-like conditions sweeping across Sudan, war raging in Ukraine and families in Lebanon and Syria struggling amid conflict, we must protect the world’s most vulnerable children.
