Pakistan

Bordering the Arabian Sea, between India to the east, Iran and Afghanistan to the west and China to the north, Pakistan is a country full of stunning landscapes and welcoming people. However, it’s also one of the world’s most disaster-prone countries, disproportionately impacted by the climate crisis with extreme flooding, drought and tropical storms.
Join us on this journey to hear from the dedicated staff in Pakistan along with children, families, teachers and community elders who received support immediately following the devastating 2022 floods and who benefited from the livelihood, child protection and education programming that continues today.

Cambodia

With a considerable population residing in areas prone to flooding, the effects of climate change have already inflicted severe consequences on the Cambodian people, including their livelihoods, food security, health, safety and education.
Discover how we’re collaborating with communities to enhance disaster preparedness among the most at-risk, including impoverished households, indigenous groups and children. Bangladesh

Situated on the Bay of Bengal, Bangladesh is home to the largest river delta in the world and is also one of the most densely populated countries with approximately 160 million people in an area just under 56,000 square miles.
In recent decades, Bangladesh has made remarkable progress in reducing child mortality, yet challenges remain. One child in every 33 – half of which are newborns – still dies from a preventable or treatable cause. The children of Bangladesh also face malnutrition, child marriage, limited access to education and more, risking their very lives and futures. Journey with us to meet some of the mothers and families who share personal stories of how we’re improving equitable access to quality maternal and newborn health services and health outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Washington

As you immerse yourself in this vibrant region, learn how change is happening for children in this state through our advocacy arm, Save the Children Action Network (SCAN).
Founded in 2014 by Save the Children, SCAN builds bipartisan support to make sure children’s voices are heard by advocating for policies that create positive systemic change for children in the U.S. and around the world. See and hear from the voices of volunteers, students and family advocates who are helping to safeguard vital nutrition, education and care programs for children and witness their tireless dedication to create better futures for our nation – one person at a time.

Mississippi

Nestled in the southern United States, the Magnolia state is home to more than 2.9 million people. The birthplace of Blues and a key player in the Civil Rights Movement, Mississippi offers urban and rural areas brimming with rich history and culture. Despite this, the state consistently ranks as the most food insecure in the country with 30% of kids in the counties where we work lacking access to enough food to meet their basic needs.
Journey into rural communities and meet the staff, partners, children and families whom we work alongside to combat rural child hunger. Experience feeding support programs, farm to table initiatives and meal distributions which are helping to ensure that all children have the nourishing food they need and deserve for a healthy, strong foundation to thrive as learners and in life.

Tennessee and Kentucky

Lebanon

Although one of the smallest countries in the world, Lebanon is a nation rich in culture and history, truly diverse with strong traditions, values, family, and religions. As some Lebanese proudly say about their tiny country, “Lebanon is small in size but huge in its influence.”
Today Lebanon is suffering from multiple crises; debts from the Civil War, a nationwide economic collapse, a refugee response that has been ongoing since 2012, the impacts of COVID-19 and the lasting devastation of the 2020 explosion in Beirut. Come along and experience daily life in Lebanon through the stories of small-business owners who are trying to provide stable and reliable sources of family income and the youth who are being provided with the skills and opportunities they need to transition to a successful adulthood tomorrow.
