Peru

Before you visit, review your official "Pre-Departure Packet" introducing you to your tour guides and highlighting the mental health and psychosocial support programs you will see. To add to your total Peruvian experience, enjoy listening to music selections or create the traditional ceviche dish!

Located on the western coast of South America, Peru is known for its stunning landscapes, beloved ancient archaeological sites and vibrant cultures. Peruvian traditions reflect a rich fusion of Native, Hispanic, Asian and European influences shaped by historical migrations over its history, particularly by recent Venezuelan migration.

Amidst the enchantment of this country, it is also a place where conflict, migration and economic hardship have intensified mental health issues. In fact, 1 in 7 young people worldwide, including in Peru, face these difficulties. Save the Children is there, providing vital mental health and psychosocial support, helping children and families build resilience and break the stigma around mental wellness.

Join us on a journey through Peru, where our mental health and psychosocial support programs are helping children and adolescents in crisis heal, build resilience, and create brighter futures for themselves and their families. Witness firsthand how hope and support are transforming lives in the face of adversity.

Please reach out to your Save the Children relationship manager to learn more about our mental health and psychosocial support programs or discuss ways in which you can support our efforts in Peru.
